Ginny Chizer applications will be reviewed by members of the Ohio Educational Theatre Association State Board.  Because this scholarship is a tribute to Ginny Chizer and her dedication to theatre education and Ohio Thespians, board members will be looking for applicants who have demonstrated active participation as Thespians on the local and state levels.  In addition, board members will be looking for students with the potential to be leaders in the field of theatre education. Finalists will be invited to interview before a panel of judges including an Ohio Thespian Troupe Director, a college representative and a representative from the Educational Theatre Association home office. The winner will be announced at the State Conference closing ceremonies.  The scholarship will be sent directly to the student’s college.

How to Turn in Application Materials:This year, Ohio EdTA is using Accept’d to turn in Scholarship application materials. Accept’d is the largest network of performing arts colleges and students, and it is a great way for colleges to see your profile. In order to access the Scholarship forms, please follow these steps:

1. Go to http://getacceptd.com/2. On the Applicants page (the home page) click the green Get Started button under Apply Now3. Create a profile4. Click Start an Application5. Beside Choose a School select to Ohio Thespians6. Beside Choose a Group select Scholarship Auditions7. Beside Choose a Program select Bob Fose Scholarship or Virginia Chizer Scholarship. From here you will be able to download and upload the forms and videos necessary to complete your application.8. You do not have to turn in everything at once, but all application materials must be uploaded/entered into Acceptd no later than February 8, 2019.
